This statement applies to tenderatlas.co.uk. We want everyone to be able to find public sector work here, whatever you use to browse.

How accessible this site is

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2, level AA. Everything built so far has been designed to that standard:

• every page works with a keyboard alone, and you can always see where you are
• text and interface colours meet or exceed the 4.5:1 contrast minimum, in both the light and dark themes
• colour is never the only way something is signalled — a closing date, for example, always has words as well as a colour
• the site respects your system setting for reduced motion, and there is nothing that moves on its own
• pages are readable when zoomed to 400%, and work at any window size down to a phone
• content is structured with real headings, lists and landmarks, not styled text

Automated accessibility checks run against every page on every change, and a page that fails one cannot be released.

What we have not finished checking

Automated checks catch a lot, but not everything. We have not yet done a full manual review with screen readers across the whole site, and we have not had an independent audit. When we have, this page will say so and will say what they found.

Documents published by buyers

Where a notice links to documents, those documents are written by the buyer and hosted on their own system. We cannot control how accessible they are. Where we can read a document, we show its text on the page so you do not have to open a PDF to find out whether it is relevant to you.

How we tested

Pages are tested automatically with axe-core on every change, and by hand with a keyboard and at 400% zoom. This statement was prepared on 14 September 2026 and is reviewed whenever a significant part of the site changes.
